CHILLIWACK – Chilliwack RCMP, Chilliwack Fire Department and BC Ambulance Service personnel were called to two motor vehicle accidents at a pair of Vedder Road intersections Sunday night in Chilliwack.

The first accident happened at Vedder Road and Promontory Road at approximately 7:24 p.m. Sunday night, according to the Pulse Point app. RCMP and BC EHS paramedics attended.

A picture from the Chilliwack Beware! Facebook group showed a white sedan with significant damage.

Wally’s Towing and Recovery attended to tow away what appeared to be a dark-coloured Tesla.

A second crash happened at Vedder Road and South Sumas Road at approximately 7:58 p.m., according to the Pulse Point app. The crash appeared to involve three vehicles, including a dark SUV, a blue truck, and an RCMP vehicle.

At least five RCMP vehicles attended and multiple ambulances responded.

Fire crews blocked part of the intersection, but some southbound vehicles were still getting through.

Weather was not a factor in either accident as there was no rain or moist roads Sunday night.
