Gurt Needs a Fur- Ever Home

or Pets Sake- meet – Gurt! Gurt was a stray who came to the Haven as a kitten last November. He is now about  10 months old and has grown into a tall, handsome tabby gentleman. Gurt is shy by nature, but he is steadily gaining confidence, winding around staff’s ankles, letting them pat him – as long as treats are offered.

Gurt will require an investment in patience and gentleness, but he will repay that investment many times over. Gurt is used to other cats, so we would love to see him adopted into a quiet home where he has a buddy to socialize with. It would ease his transition. If you would like to meet Gurt, please submit an application through the Haven’s website. Once it has been reviewed, you will be contacted via email to set up a meet-and-greet appointment.

89.5 JR Country’s “For Pets Sake” is all about matching lost and abandoned pets with new loving “furever” homes. Four times a month on Tuesday we feature cats and dogs in need of a home.

The cats featured on “For Pets Sake” come from the Chilliwack Animal Safe Haven at 49843 Chilliwack Central Road, Chilliwack. While the dogs featured come from the FVRDCare Centre on Wolf road.
