According to a special weather statement issued at 4:01 p.m. Friday (Oct. 16) by the national weather agency, a fall storm will bring mixed weather conditions on Saturday, Oct. 17.
Sudden gusty winds of 60-80 km/h will accompany the latest weather pattern.
Snow levels are expected to lower to 1,500 metres over southern B.C., and as low as 1,200 metres over central B.C.
The affected areas include Hope, the Coquihalla Highway between Hope and Kamloops, Highway 3 from Hope to Princeton via Allison Pass, Manning-Skagit Valley, and the Okanagan Connector.
Environment Canada says there could be possible localized utility outages, fallen branches from trees, and possible slippery conditions over high elevation passes with wet snow.
