CHILLIWACK — The Chilliwack Animal Safe Haven Society has named Bradley Gionet as its new executive director.
The organization’s board of directors says Gionet brings more than three decades of ties to the community, along with experience in operations, leadership, governance and fundraising.
Gionet, who has lived in Chilliwack for more than 30 years, is a vice-chair of the Chilliwack Museum and Archives. He was also recently awarded the Paul Harris Fellowship by the Mt. Cheam Rotary Club for his support of Ukrainians settling in the community.
Board President Katherine Lemond said in a news release that Gionet stood out during the executive search process because of his management skills, professionalism and commitment to the community. “The Board is confident that he will help guide the Safe Haven through this transition period and position the organization to become the most trusted cat shelter serving Chilliwack and the surrounding region.”
As executive director, Gionet will oversee strategic development, daily operations and community engagement as the society continues its work providing shelter and care for cats.
