METRO VANCOUVER — BC Highway Patrol officers are appealing to the public for any dashcam footage leading up to a crash in the Massey Tunnel that shut down traffic for several hours Tuesday afternoon (Oct. 15).
According to a statement from Corporal Michael McLaughin of BCHP, the collision happened Tuesday afternoon at 3:45 p.m. when a white Toyota Sienna van and a white Mazda 3 collided head-on while one of the northbound lanes had been converted into a counterflow lane.
Cpl. McLaughlin says both drivers were alone in their respective vehicles at the time of the collision and both had non-life-altering injuries.
BC Highway Patrol investigators can be reached at 778-526-9744 during office hours, and callers are asked to quote file 2024-1716.
