Nostalgia Tour in Mission offers a look into past holiday seasons

MISSION – Pictures of Christmases past will be featured in a holiday nostalgia tour running in November and December across Mission.

Archival images showcasing how the holidays were celebrated in bygone eras will be the focus of the Tourism Mission Holiday Nostalgia Tour, which will take place over a little more than six weeks.

The journey starts with a Saturday kickoff on November 16th at the Junction Shopping Centre, which will include a local artisan market, visits with the Grinch, and a kids’ train ride.

The showcase is designed to be a self-guided venture through a passport program, allowing participants to collect six or more stamps to complete a map and enter a draw for $500 in Downtown Dollars.

The kickoff event runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on November 16th, while the tour continues until December 31st.
