Chilliwack gun store set to open in former bike shop on Young Road

CHILLIWACK — Siwash Sports, a go-to store for sports gear, apparel and equipment in Chilliwack, is set to occupy a former bike shop on Young Road almost across the street from the Fraser Valley Regional District headquarters building.

Branding containing Siwash Sports’ logo and imagery now appears on the exterior building of 9020 Young Road, former home of Pedal Sport, which has since relocated to 45960 Alexander Avenue next to Great Canadian Oil Change.

Siwash Sports wrote on Facebook Sunday (Oct. 6) that it has passed an RCMP inspection, while a fire inspection happens next week.

“We should we moved in before the end of the month, more to come!” Siwash wrote online. “Are you excited? We are!”

Siwash Sports is currently located at 45928 Hocking Avenue, unit 102, near the corner of Hocking Avenue and Young Road where Jimmy J’s and Characters Pub & Grill are situated.

Siwash Sports sells firearms, clothing, ammunition, accessories, optics, archery, air soft, magazines, and more. It bills itself as Canada’s No. 1 online retailer.
