Motorcycle Skills Challenge coming to Abbotsford
ABBOTSFORD — The Abbotsford Police Department, in collaboration with ICBC, is set to host a Motorcycle Skills Challenge, with a goal of enhancing riders’ safety awareness and skills on the road.
Scheduled for Saturday, May 18, the event invites participants holding a class 6 license, class 6 learners, or class 8 with a supervisor to test their abilities on a specialized skills course. Riders must arrive equipped with proper safety gear and their own insured street-legal motorcycle.
This free event will allow participants to navigate a skills course, get feedback from Police motorcycle riders and gain knowledge about motorcycle safety from our Traffic Enforcement Unit and ICBC.

The challenge offers a unique opportunity for both novice and experienced riders to refine their maneuvering techniques under the guidance of police motorcycle riders. These officers will be stationed throughout the course, offering valuable tips and guidance to participants.
“We’re encouraging motorcyclists of all levels to join us and put their skills to the test,” says the Abbotsford Police on it’s registration page. “Our officers will be on hand not only to facilitate the challenge but also to engage with riders on important aspects of motorcycle safety.”
