G.W. Graham standout Carter Dallas to play university football in the Prairies
CHILLIWACK — G.W. Graham football standout Carter Dallas is taking his skill set as a two-way player to the Prairies this fall.
Dallas, a 5-foot-11, 165-pound wide receiver and safety, became the latest player from the Grizzlies’ class of 2024 to commit to the University of Manitoba. He’ll be joining running back Yapo Conteh and defensive end-linebacker Riley Ashley who have previously announced commitments to play for the Bisons.
Dallas took home the Most Valuable Player award at a football banquet in late February. Dallas tallied four touchdowns, four interceptions and seven pass breakups this past season while maintaining a stellar 3.75 grade point average.
“He struck fear in a lot of receivers and QBs when anything had to come across the middle of the field,” G.W. Graham coach Ryk Piché said of Dallas. “I got compliments from coaches across the league, and I heard from two coaches that he was the best defensive player they had seen in the last several years.”
A social media post from the G.W. Graham football program commended Dallas for his unwavering commitment to both marks and athletics.
“His decision reflects his dedication to both academics and athletics. Dallas’s talent and leadership promise to make a significant impact on the Bison football program, showcasing his versatility and passion for the game. This commitment marks a pivotal moment in Dallas’s journey, highlighting his determination to succeed on and off the field,” the social media post said.
