**UPDATE at 5:45 p.m.: Power has now been restored to the 3,600-plus customers in Abbotsford who were without power for much of Wednesday.**
ABBOTSFORD — A motor vehicle crash has left thousands in Abbotsford without power for the past four hours Wednesday afternoon.
According to an update on the BC Hydro website, 3,674 customers have been without power in central Abbotsford since 11:59 a.m. Wednesday.
The area in question is east of Mill Lake Road, west of Mendham Street, south of Enterprise Avenue and north of Hawthorne Avenue.
Hydro crews are on site. There’s no estimated time when power will be restored. The last update on the BC Hydro website was 4:03 p.m. Wednesday.
